Our local Adoption and Foster Care Programs were established by our parent organization Northwest Resource Associates.
Northwest Adoption Exchange (NWAE)
The Northwest Adoption Exchange is a regional photo and profile gallery that spotlights waiting foster children in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. We connect families from all over the United States with workers for our waiting children. We also coordinate local media recruitment, including Saturday’s Child newspaper columns and Wednesday’s Child television spots. www.nwae.org
Washington Adoption Resource Exchange (WARE)
WARE features photo and profile galleries of waiting foster children and available adoptive families in the state of Washington. A password-protected website, WARE is a partnership between the Northwest Adoption Exchange and the State of Washington Children's Administration. read more...
Washington Specialized Recruitment Project (SRP)
SRP is a specialized program of the NWAE that focuses on specific waiting foster children in Washington who need extra recruitment help. SRP combines enhanced outreach with targeted search efforts in order to recruit adoptive families for these children.
Washington Adoptive & Foster Parent Preparation Classes (PRIDE)
Through Northwest Adoption Exchange, we facilitate the scheduling, registration, and training of free 30-hour Foster Care and Adoptive Parent Preparation classes in King County, Washington. The class is offered as a joint effort of the Division of Children and Family Services, the Division of Licensed Resources, and private adoption agencies. www.nwae.org.
Washington Foster Parent Information Center

Our library offers foster parents and relative caregivers in Washington no-cost access to books, DVDs, videotapes and reprint materials (both individual items and collections of articles) on relevant topics.
